Karen was Debbie's down-to-Earth bestfriend. Although they couldn't seem anymore different, the two traveled nearly everywhere together. Karen was with Debbie and Nina in the elevator when the Night Hag caused it to crash. Unlike Debbie, however, Karen died of her wounds later in the hospital.
