In a flashback, it is revealed that Luna was able to compel Kayden into freeing her. However, she instilled that he would think he successfully killed her and report back to his “boss” her “deceased” status. She then left to find shelter before the sunrise.

Elijah reveals his mother’s book and the Night Hag page to the Circle witches and Dolly. They learn that the Hag desires to permanently possess a witch in Parkers Canyon and harness their power for her own. However, her time on the physical plane is limited so she must perform her ritual soon.

At her home, Victoria is watching the news with Nina. The Police Sheriff announces a town curfew in effect due to the mysterious events plaguing the town. She is awaiting Luna’s arrival, as she previously told her she would be back in a few weeks.

Three weeks later, Luna returns to Parkers Canyon just in time for the annual lock-in at the school. When Torrance approaches her, she confirms that she did request transfer papers but ultimately decided to transfer back.

The students ignore the new curfew and attend an annual lock-in; school officials unaware of the event, excluding the corrupt Mrs. Davis, who left the back door unlocked for the students.

Torrance bonds with Luna, and she accompanies him to the library. There, Torrance searches for “animal attacks” in Parkers Canyon. He discovers an article regarding the deaths of Tessa Fox’s parents years earlier. Their car was apparently run off the road. Torrance prints a copy of the article.

CJ confronts Tyler about killing Tora, but Tyler claims he doesn’t remember that night. Tessa and Victoria catch up. However, Victoria is unaware that CJ told Tessa about Victoria being a vampire.

Dolly, Jenny, and Lilly leave the gym to reveal Lilly’s recent sex magic with Marc to Jenny, who deduces that this magic might have killed Lindsey.

Blaise brings in the alcohol as everyone hangs out in the gym. Soon after, Emmaleigh excuses herself to the restroom. Inside, the Hag manifests and clutches her throat, possessing her. The lights in the school shut off.

When Victoria approaches Emmaleigh to make sure she is okay, Emmaleigh responds as if she’s from the sixteenth century and makes her exit. She finds the Trinity in the hallway and begins violently choking Dolly with her telekinesis, who immediately recognized her as the Hag. However, Lilly throws Emmaleigh against a wall, knocking her unconscious. After a few moments, Emmaleigh wakes up, unpossessed.

Julie, who just secretly witnessed the encounter between Emmaleigh and the Trinity, ducks into a classroom as she begins to have more violent visions. This time, she see’s herself sparring on a mat with her father.

Meanwhile, Robby and Torrance have decided to find the school’s generator. When they do, the Night Hag manifests and chases them through the hallways back to the gym. Once there, the Hag reveals herself to everyone, scanning the room as they look at her in horror. She rushes at Torrance, who tries to take a picture of her, but stops dead in her tracks. She looks Kyle in the eyes, possessing him.

As Kyle, the hag telekinetically throws Elijah, Robby, and Torrance. The Hag’s claws extend from Kyle, slashing and wounding both Victoria and CJ, whose healing processes do not immediately kick in. The Hag then leaves Kyle’s body and the school.

Afterward, the students resolve to leave the lock-in. Most travel to Blaise’s home, where Jenny and the girls out the supernatural community, thinking it is best for everyone’s safety against the Hag.

Blaise admits that he is in love with Lilly in front of everybody. Back at her home, Luna nurses Victoria back to health. They later have sex. CJ and Tessa have sex as well.

The next day, Emmaleigh’s mother makes a run for Mexico, however, she is eventually arrested and taken in for unknown slut crimes.

At the fair, the cheerleaders work a kissing booth. Luna and Victoria arrive, still feeling ravenous after the last night. They lure Kylie Blue into the shadows of the fair and drink from her, killing her in the process. They dispose of her body.

Forest nearly strips naked to earn money for the kissing booth. Emmaleigh spends time with Nathan. Marc asks Jenny to help him develop his skills as a witch. Lilly sees them talking and gets jealous, but Jenny promises her it was nothing.

Julie attempts to confront Jenny and Dolly, but neither of them offers her explicit answers. Dolly promises she will open up to Julie sooner than later.

The Night Hag temporarily manifests, chasing Nathan through the hall of mirrors. However, she glances upon her reflection and screeches, shattering the mirror and disappearing.

Julie confronts Mike, who comforts her. They admit they still have feelings for one another, but Mike remains hesitant. He tells her that he is a vampire and broke up with her for her own safety. Julie is shocked and leaves soon after.

Eventually, everyone sits to watch the firework display.

Later that night, Torrance drives to the road mentioned in the article about Tessa’s parents. He parks and walks into the woods, eventually happening upon CJ’s warehouse, connecting him to the attack.

Julie has another memory, this time it is a full depiction of the day her memory was wiped by Dolly.

Cyrus, investigating the Hag, walks through the hall of mirrors. When he sees light on the other side of the broken glass, he crawls through the mirror and into the afterlife. There, he finds Lindsey, who offers information regarding the Night Hag, but only if Cyrus beats him in a game of beer pong.
